Went ~6PM on a Wednesday night and there was a short line -- waited bout 10 minutes. I really enjoyed the fluffy pizza bread. Was pretty full with 2 slices of pizza for under $10. - clam and garlic pizza: 3/5 could only taste the garlic, not the clams. - combo pizza: 4/5 typical combo pizza but with the enjoyable pizza bread.

SO happy I did a phone order. When we got there, the line was crazy long. But, you can only order by phone if you order the entire pan, not a slice. I got a large pizza, half clam and garlic, and half combo. The group agreed that the clam and garlic pizza was their favorite. I am not a huge fan of clams, but this pizza exceeded my expectations! The garlic and clam complimented each other perfectly and the dough was chewy with a crispy crust. The first and probably best clam and garlic pizza I'll ever taste. Phone order ahead of time! Get the clam and garlic pizza!

Another sf night classic spot! What's not to like about a giant slice of pizza with soft delicious dough and fresh and generous toppings? You can't go wrong with any of the pizza options here to be honest. The slices here are thiccc and I was full in 1 slice (that's after skipping dinner and eating only at 11pm). There's usually a long line but it moves decently quick. Trust me, it's worth the wait.

This is a North Beach landmark. Punk & alt. rock, I don't give a F vibes. Stickers everywhere. Late night pizza slices although these days, they are closing earlier. Always a line out the door. Long time ago when you can sit inside, you can sit at the bar area. Now, it's all outdoor take out. They aren't fast but not slow either given the volume of pizzas people order. I appreciate their effort. It's a hot job! Last time I was here with my fur ball (my pup), we waited in line for at least 45 minutes. My fur ball also got startled by the roaring of a bunch of motorcycles coming in to pick up their pizzas, but he handled himself well and I rewarded him with some treats. My favorite slice is their house specialty, clams & garlic.

Golden Boy Pizza is a hidden gem in the heart of the city, serving up some of the most delicious and authentic Italian-style pizzas this side of the Mediterranean. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a cozy and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for a night out with friends or a family dinner.

If you find yourself in San Francisco craving pizza, do yourself a favor and make a beeline for Golden Boy Pizza. You could smell the aroma of freshly baked pizza from a block away and almost every person walking down the block had a slice with them. I love the fact that they're square shaped. Not only does it look unique, it also maximizes all of the ingredients in every bite. I got half combo and half garlic &clam. If you can't choose a single flavor. I highly recommend that you go with the clam & garlic. The sweetness of the clams perfectly complements the boldness of the garlic. It's a unique pairing that you don't get to try everyday. I'm so happy to hear they're expanding and opening a location closer to my home!

I will, and I have, waited in line for well over 25 minutes for a slice of Golden Boy's Sausage pizza. They sprinkle some seasoning on the cheese which I think just sets this place apart - they don't overdo it, but they KNOW how to keep you coming back. Staff is always very friendly despite folks typically being lined up down the block - they keep their smiles up and any sense of overwhelm they may be feeling down. Very casual, neighborhood spot where you'll find patrons from near and far lining up for their chance to try GBP. If you're lucky, you'll get to check out some awesome vintage cars as you wait - it's not uncommon for local car collectors and enthusiasts to park their rides out front and chat and play music while they enjoy their slices. Can't forget - Ah, the famous "Tony's" vs "Golden Boy Pizza" debate. Let me stop you right there - they're very different; and if you're a fan of thick, soft, cheesy pizza then you'll appreciate Golden Boy. No frills yet entirely unique pizza joint with flavors from classic cheese to clam and pesto. All worth a try!

Yummy pizza. Queue moves quickly- you can order by slice or by plate. It's take away only. Ordered the cheese slice, veggie slice, garlic + clams size and found them to be equally good. Sat in the park nearby and enjoyed eating in the sun. Will be back for pizza here again!
